Lindsey Lukehurst - Spooky Men Chorale

'I was lucky enough to be able to hire St. Mary's to put on a concert with the Spooky Men's Chorale, a men's acapella singing group from Australia. It was a great success, and a large part of that was that Paul and Duncan (responsible for hiring out the church and caretaking on the day) were extremely helpful and flexible .. it felt as though nothing was too much trouble'.

“We have had several fantastic experiences running events at St Mary’s Church, not only is it a stunning venue, the staff are always on-hand to help ensure everything runs smoothly. Our recent summer networking BBQ went off without a hitch and we received excellent feedback on the event. Paul Sibly was excellent throughout and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend St Mary’s, we will be holding more events here in the future for certain!”

“As soon as we entered the building we were blown away by its beauty and elegance. We both fell in love with the venue and immediately knew it would be perfect for us……. Paul and Duncan were both a great help throughout the booking process and assisted us with our questions and requirements. They made us feel very welcome and confident in our choice. On the day, wow, our guests were so impressed with the venue. It looks amazing all the time, but with the set-up of tables, chairs, flowers, candles and lighting it looked incredible. We got great feedback from the guests (and the staff)……… I believe St Mary's is the best venue in Nottingham and I feel very lucky that we had our dream reception in a perfect venue. Thank you again, it was the perfect day”.

"St Mary’s church  is easily one of the best event venues in Nottingham as evidenced by our return business for many years running. The space itself is architecturally fascinating and flexible to fit a variety of functions  our prime use being that for a fashion show using the aisle as our runway. All the volunteers who opened the venue through to moving chairs or filling up the water boiler made our shows run smoothly and I would recommend this venue  to anyone".

"We chose St Mary’s Church as the venue for our gala dinner during out annual conference because of its stunning atmosphere, providing a beautiful setting for our meal and a backdrop to our colleague’s singing performance during a drinks reception before the formal proceedings. Throughout the planning process Paul and Duncan were extremely responsive and helpful and everything was smooth and easy to arrange. The church provides a fantastic space for large gatherings – we had around 300 guests for dinner – and I was particularly impressed that the team from the church was present on the night to meet us and to ensure that everything went perfectly on the night. If we take out conference back to Nottingham we will definitely come back to St Mary’s again".

"Beautiful venue and surprisingly perfect for this type of reception”.

"I am writing to thank you for support of the recent IHBC Annual School in Nottingham. The School was a very successful event and we had 250 delegates overall which is one of our best attendances and over 100 at the Reception in St Mary’s.  The reception went very well and we have already had lot of positive feedback on the venue which everyone seemed to love.  Thank you especially Paul for your illuminating introduction and the organ music which set the scene beautifully."
